Portrait of the 'Greyhound'
Possibly a portrait of the ‘Greyhound’, sixth rate, 16 guns. She was built in 1672 and sold in 1698.
She is viewed from the port quarter. Nine wreathed ports are on a broadside. There is a badge with a single light on the quarter. A seated figure of Britannia with angels on either side is on the tafferel.
An accurate drawing though with many corrections; probably based on an offset.
