'Maarten Tromp and the Battle of the Ness, 30 November 1652'. This is a derivative image of which there are other versions, probably disseminated through Dutch prints and replicated in oil by various hands: there are versions in Rotterdam Museum signed 'M.E. van H', the Museum Huis Van Gijn and the Historisch Museum den Briel (both anonymous): there is also another in Delft (Prinsenhof or Museum Lambert van Meerten).
