Steamer Phenix, Capitaine Eudoxe, Lefort. Paquebot du Havre a Londres

The French London-Le Havre packet paddle steamer is shown in port broadside view, under steam and a few sails, in a stormy sea. She flies the French flag at her stern gaff and a pennant bearing her name, Phenix, at her mainmast. Her name is also on the port paddle cover. Various figures can be seen on deck. A sailing ship, under much reduced sail, is just visible in the distance, on the left of the picture, with only her bow above the waves. The coastline of a town is visible on the far right horizon.
