The barque Pathfinder

A ship’s portrait of the three-masted barque 'Pathfinder' shown in full sail and broadside-on. There were several barques of this name during the 19th century. This is one of a pair of paintings of the ‘Pathfinder’ in the China Seas, showing the leeside and weather side. They were painted by a Chinese artist and this image probably shows the weather side, see also BHC3538.
