A coastal view
This view of a small jetty, on which a man in seaman's dress looks seaward with a telescope, with a cottage behind, may be of a coast-guard station. It is probably by a British hand of about 1830-50. The colour, especially the blues, has faded and there is other damage, but there may be the remains of a signature in the lower left corner [PvdM 7/11]
