Arica, Peru, totally destroyed by earthquake and Tidal Wave on 13 August 1868

Mounted in album with PAI4216-PAI4228, PAI4230-PAI4279.
According to Manuel Fernandez, author of 'Arica 1868: un Tsunami y un Terremoto' (Santiago, Chile, National Library, 2007), this drawing of the depiction of Arica can be dated to 1867 or slightly earlier, as it shows features that were destroyed by the tsunami of 13th August, 1868.
