The boat badge of HMS 'Sandhurst' 1915. An official pattern submitted in November 1919. On a red field, an army officer's rank star, gold. The field colour and the officer's shoulder 'pip' refer to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. The badge is diamond-shaped with a gold rope twist border representing an auxiliary.
