Boat badge. HMS Herald 1918. Official design. On a green field, a herald in tabard, red, emblazoned with the Admiralty anchor gold and bearing a trumpet and staff. On reverse 'HERALD'. Diamond shape with gold rope twist edging. Pattern approved in November 1923. Cast brass, painted, drilled at corners.
