Awarded to William Nathan Wright Hewett. Obverse: Head of Queen Victoria with a diadem, hair tied in a knot (L). Legend: ‘VICTORIA REGINA’. Below: "1854". Reverse: Victory flying (R) crowning with a laurel wreath a Roman soldier standing (L) with shield and short sword. Inscr. (rev.) ‘CRIMEA’ (vertical, L) suspended from a foliated bar and pale blue ribbon edged with yellow. Bars: ‘INKERMANN’; ‘SEBASTOPOL’, ‘AZOF’. Inscription on edge: ‘LT.W.N.W.HEWETT R.N.
