Coronation medal, Edward VII 1902
Presented to Admiral Sir Frederick George Denham Bedford (1838-1913). Oval with ornamental rim. Obverse: Busts of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, crowned (left). Reverse: Royal Cypher surmounted by a crown. 'E R VII', '26 JUN 1902'. Suspended by a crown and ring for suspension from a dark blue ribbon with a scarlet central stripe and narrow white edges. Mounted on a bar for wearing with seven other medals.
During the the Coronation fleet review at Spithead on 16 August 1902, Bedford was present In his flag ship HMS 'Crescent' on her return from the North America and West Indies Station.
