Terrestrial table globe

Terrestrial table globe. Geographical details on the sphere show a graph within a cartouche which provides a colour key for above and below sea level. The cartouche also contains keys for principal shipping routes, air routes and gives the scale 1:45,000,000. On another part of the globe there is an analemma next to USA.

The colours on this globe are still quite clear; they have not faded very much. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please contact the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
