Electrotype seal
Electrotype die of the personal seal of Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618). A shield of arms with sixteen quarterings, two wolves as supporters, three crests on helmets 1) a fleur-de-lis 2) a stag's head caboshed with a fleur-de-lis between the attires 3) a stag statant at the foot on a scroll. Motto: 'AMORE . ET . VIRTVTE'. One of 600 numbered copies made by Crichtons. This is number 52.
