Seal

Desk seal of the St Katharine Dock Company. A carnelian seal set in a silver mount, with a bone handle. It shows St Catharine holding a wheel, the sea and a ship in the background. Inscribed: 'ST KATHERINE DOCK COMPANY'. Construction of the dock, near the Tower of London commenced in 1827. It is on the site of the Hospital of St Katherine by the Tower.
