Boots

Brown leather shoes belonging to Captain F. L. McClintock (1817-1907), which were worn over woollen foot wrappers and thick socks. The shoes have a canvas upper, two leather flaps which lace together over the top of the foot, and laces passing through two pairs of eyeletted holes. The canvas upper has a draw string at the top to secure it under the wearers knee over the trousers to keep out loose snow.
