A 6 pint cooking apparatus made for the British Arctic Expedition, 1875-76, led by Captain George Nares. The apparatus consists of the iron case with perforated tin cooking stand (AAA4008.4), the stearine burner lamp (AAA4008.5) and its lid (AAA4008.6), the stew pan (AAA4008.3), and the 6 pint kettle and its lid (AAA4008.1 and AAA4008.2). This equipment could stack inside itself before sledging.
