Harness bag, sledge harness, and coil of rope
Used on Nares' Arctic expedition 1875. Hand sewn canvas bag closed with string. Has two shoulder straps (one detached). Containing two coils of rope, eight sledge harnesses and a second unstitched canvas bag. "16" marked in ink on both bags. On harnesses. "D6" "B12", "H1", "E5", "K2", "E8", "E1".
