A Spanish dollar. Obverse: Bust of King Charles IV laureate, in a pigtail, armour and mantle (right). Legend: 'DEI . GRATIA . CAROLUS . IIII . 1795'. Reverse: Engraved on a smooth surface a view of an action, one vessel on fire. Exergue: 'The French & Spanish fleet defeated July 12th 1801 by Rear Adml Sr Jas Saumarez'.
