Ingot commemorating a skipjack
Rectangular shaped ingot. Obverse: Port broadside view of a skipjack, sails set. Inscription: 'SKIPJACK'. Reverse: Inscription, 'SKIPJACK Twentieth Century. Used to dredge for oysters in Chesapeake Bay, skipjacks comprise the only commercial sailing fleet still in operation in the United States. Noted for its ease of handling, the skipjack has been in use in Chesapeake Bay since the early 1890s.'
