Obverse: Bust of Admiral Lord Nelson in undress uniform (L). Legend: "PALMAM QVI MERUIT FERAT". Reverse: inscription within a roped circle. Legend: "GREENWICH HOSPITAL SCHOOL". Inscription: "For Attainments and good conduct To G.Baldwin. 1885". (Name and dates incuse). Fitted with a bar and dark blue ribbon and two clasps inscription: "SEMPER PARATUS, SEMPER FIDELIS".
