An eagle with wings outspread perched on an anchor; below a wreath of oak and bay tied witha bow. Legend: "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS". Inscription: "FOR SERVICE". Inscription on edge: "1043". Fitted with a ring and a yellow ribbon bordered by a narrow green stripe with a central blue stripe.
