Graduations- Circle graduated quadrantally in degrees and to 360 degs. Vernier scale at one end of alidade 0-60.
Sights-One detachable sight vane 4.9" (12.4cm) long mounted on circle, it has a vertical slit with a rectangular aperture above. Two detachable sight vanes 4.5" (11.4cm) long mounted on alidade, one sight with a vertical slit and rectangular aperture above, the other with a rectangular aperture and vertical slit above.
Compass-Dia. 5.7" (14.5cm) mounted at centre of instrument. Fitted with a narrow blued steel needle 4.5 " (11.4cm) long, with a brass pivot cap at centre. Graduated to 16 points, quadrantally in degrees and anti-clockwise to 360 degs.
In wooden box 13 x 13 x 3.5" (33 x 33 x 8.9cm)
