In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain Worth, Commander of their Majesties hired ship the SUCCESS, now at Plymouth, has written complaining of the bad condition of the ship. He doubts she can proceed on her voyage to Newfoundland. You are directed to survey the ship immediately and to put her in condition to proceed. You are to keep an account of the cost and to deduct it out of the hire of the ship. Mr William Addis of Plymouth is to be paid £100 as reward for his care in the service of their Majesties fleet from the middle of last November to the end of July.
