In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain Greenville Collins is claiming payment for survey work of the British coast instructed by King Charles the Second. Charges for instruments, map making, boat and pilot hire are listed totalling some one thousand nine hundred pounds. In view of the value of the work both to merchant shipping as well as to the Navy and despite already having received substantial sums for the work, he is to be paid a further fourteen hundred pounds to ensure that he is not left out of pocket.
