Patch box

Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating the battle of Camperdown, 1797. The surface is enamelled with a white base and sides, the lid polychrome within a black oval. It has a border of raised white dots. The centre of the lid is painted with a view of a naval action inscribed in gold 'The Glorious 11 Oct 1797'.
