Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base and sides pea green. The lid is royal blue scattered with gold and white flowers, in the centre is a white anchor on which is superimposed a shield with a gold and white spotted border. This is inscribed in gold 'Brave Nelson is no more'.
