        Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and the battle of the Nile, 1798. The surface is enamelled, the sides royal blue, the lid with a tinted transfer of a naval battle flanked by sprays of blue foliage and the inscription: 'The glorious Victory of Adml Nelson on the 1st. of Augst 1798
