Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled in pale blue, the sides gadrooned. The lid is white with the black transferred inscription 'WHEN / Nelson knew the / Battle won / He said to fate / GODS will be done'.
