Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and the battle of the Nile, 1798. The surface is enamelled, the base white and the sides pink. The lid has a pink border with white spots and has a painted depiction of a naval action, inscribed above 'Adm Nelson's Victory 1st August 1798.'
