Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base and sides in mauve. The lid has a white and gilt border with white spots. In the centre on a royal blue background is a white anchor bearing a heart shape inscribed 'He Conquer'd and died Nelson 1805'.
