Submarine cable section
A portion of submarine cable. Cylindrical with metal bands at either end. It is a section of Atlantic cable. The core consists of seven copper wires surrounded by a layer of gutta percha. The outer sheathing consists of ten galvanised iron wires covered in hemp.
