Royal George (1788)
Scale: 1:48. A block design model of the ‘Royal George’ (1788), a 100-gun, three-decker ship of the line. Built as a replacement for the ship of the same name lost in 1782, the ‘Royal George’ was launched at Chatham in 1784. It and its sister ship ‘Queen Charlotte’ were larger than previous first rates, with a length on the gun deck of 190 feet. It served throughout the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and was broken up in 1822.
