HMS Pelican (1938); Warship; Sloop; Escort sloop
        
        Scale: not calculated. The model was made for Commander C. J. Bateman, DSC, RN, who was captain of HMS ‘Pelican’ (1938) from 1956–57. This ‘Bird’-class escort sloop was built by Thornycroft and assisted in the sinking of no less than four U-boats during the Second World War.
