Unknown vessel; Boat

Scale: 1:12 A contemporary full hull plank on frame model of a three-masted lugged rigged sailing boat (1880). Built in clinker fashion, it is complete with masts, spars, sails and a number of internal fittings such as floors, gratings and two removable wash strakes fitted to the bow. As well as sail, this boat was rowed with oars through thole pins (missing) and steered by a rudder (missing).

At this scale, the model represents a boat measuring forty-three feet in length by ten feet in the beam, and is of the type used mainly along the east coast of the UK for fishing, lifesaving and pilotage duties.
