Scale: Unknown. A model of a propeller in a propeller well made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings, and painted, stained and varnished. The model shows the method for raising and lowering the propeller and a plan for fitting shutters in the screw aperture. The stylised section of the vessel consists of two tall vertical pieces of mahogany timber between which the raising and lowering mechanism is situated. On one side of the well is a shaped near semi-circular section of the well casing, painted white. A stylised frame or deck section bisects the casing and is painted ochre. At the top of the casing and attached to the vertical timbers is a pair of metal brackets with lengths of thin cord wrapped around them. The cord is attached to the shutters located in their closed position at the bottom of the well. Above the shutters, is the sliding frame that raises and lowers the propeller. The model is displayed on a rectangular mahogany baseboard. Number "7" on baseboard (currently missing).
