Fishing vessel

Scale: 1:96. A full hull model of a powered fishing craft made in wood with metal, inorganic and synthetic materials and painted in realistic colours. The vessel is depicted with a seine net set on the seabed and with a section of seabed that also serves as the baseboard of the model. The hull is painted a Verde Gris effect below the waterline, brick red above. Fittings include a tripod foremast and mainmast, white-painted superstructure and side net retriever. The model is mounted into an irregularly shaped clear Perspex “sea level”. The seine net is being towed along by two cables attached to the vessel to which is attached three buoy markers. The Perspex sea is held aloft by four thin metal rods, the whole displayed on a rectangular baseboard whose surface is coated in grey sand and grit. On port and starboard bows and amidships ‘LK 447’.
