RAF Mark II

Liquid compass
Bowl: Spherical brass, concave verge glass. Painted white inside with black lubber line.
Card: Mica ring, graduated on inner surface to 10 degrees, in white on black background. Mounted on a red and blue painted float.
Needle: Slung beneath float.
Pivot: Inverted type, also has an arm projecting from side of bowl which engages in top of float to prevent it lifting off pivot.
Mounted in black painted square metal box. Dimensions 4.25" x 4.25" x 4.25" (10.8 x 10.8 x 10.8cm). Corrector magnet container mounted on underside of box.
