Liquid compass

Bowl: Brass painted black. Filler plug at side and expansion chamber at base. Heavy lead ring attached to base by electrical adhesive tape. White on inside with two red and black painted lines set 14 degrees apart. Set in brass gimbals with crude wire loop for hanging campass attached.

Card: Mica painted white with black markings. Graduated quadrantally in degrees and to 8 points, the four cardinal points described in large letters. North is indicated by N on a red ground. Domed float at centre with black N-S axis showing.

Needle: Unsighted.

Pivot: Unsighted.
