Pocket watch movement with dial and hands, and separate 'cuvette' (back cover for watch movement). It has a half-plate going-barrel movement with minute-repeating work, cylinder escapement and plain balance with regulator. The watch has a metal dial with Roman numerals and Breguet-style hands. The cuvette is inscribed: "Répétition a minutes / de Montanrouge / Hor-er du Roi / a Carouge / Aiguilles / Échappement a Cylindre / Quatre Trous En Rubis / No 3913 / Parachute et Compensateur"
