Bath banner, Sir John Colpoys (1742-1821)
Bath banner of Sir John Colpoys (1742-1821). Silk painted with his arms - Argent an anchor azure surmounted by a maunch (sleeve) sable charged with three crosses patee of the field. The backgound is brown and the crosses gold. Banner is inscribed 'Sir John Colpoys' to read the correct way up when the banner hung sideways.
