Meet the panellists

Martin Lewis
Martin Lewis is a previous winner of both the Planets, Comets and Asteroids and Our Moon categories in the Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition. He was also shortlisted numerous times and is now a competition judge. He is an optoelectronics engineer, telescope builder and high-resolution planetary imager.

Steve Marsh
Steve Marsh is the art editor of BBC Sky at Night Magazine, a position he has held for the past 20 years. He has also been involved with the Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition since its very first year and became a judge in 2019. He is an avid fan of planetary and lunar astrophotography.

Ivana Peranic
Ivana Peranic is a cellist and astrophotographer based in Brighton, UK. From her small city garden she captures planetary, solar, lunar, and deep space images, and enjoys talking about astrophotography to astronomy societies across the country. Her photos have been shortlisted at the inaugural European AstroFest competition, and she is a writer and contributor for BBC Sky at Night Magazine.
