Head to the Queen's House for an evening of musical delights, performed by soprano Sofia Bagulho and harpist Lucia Foti in the sumptuous surroundings of the Great Hall.
This concert is part of a series of evening performances at the Queen's House, organised in partnership with the Faculty of Music at Trinity Laban. We are delighted to collaborate with Trinity Laban and contribute to the personal and professional development of the students. Tickets include a welcome drink.

Performers
Sofia Bagulho
Lisbon-native soprano Sofia Bagulho began her musical studies at the Conservatório de Música D. Dinis and at the Lisbon Conservatory, where she studied flute with Ricardo Alves and voice with Ângela Silva. Sofia is a master’s student at the Royal College of Music in London, studying voice with Amanda Roocroft, Dinah Harris and Sebastian Wybrew. She is a Sussex Scholar.
In 2019, she was admitted to the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, in London, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance under the guidance of Joan Rodgers, Jon Christos, and Robert Bottriell graduating with First Honours, being awarded Trinity Laban Silver Medal of the Vocal Department. In recent years, she has participated in several masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Lynn Eustis, Elisabete Matos, Ana Paula Russo, Aylish Tynan, Susan Bullock, and Fiona Kimm, among others.
She has been awarded first prize in the Bendada International Music Festival and Terras de Santiago, and second prize in the Medici International Music Competition, Euterpe Music Awards and Birmingham International Music Competition. She has given recitals in the USA, Portugal and UK.
Lucia Foti
Lucia Foti is a London-based Italian harpist. She has recently completed her master’s, graduating with distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she studied under the tutelage of Gabriella Dall’Olio and Frances Kelly, generously supported by Trinity College London and a Trinity Laban Scholarship. She was also awarded the 2023 John Marson Harp Prize for Outstanding Musicianship. Previously, she studied with Maria Ester Gattoni at Conservatorio di Como, Italy, graduating with first class honours.
Third prize at the 2024 Manchester Harp Competition, Lucia has won several national and international competitions, including first prize at the 2012 Concours Français de la Harpe and a first prize scholarship at the 2015 Soroptimist Italia Competition for Young Talents. She is a current reserve of the Young Musicians’ Symphony Orchestra, with whom she performs at Cadogan Hall and St John’s Smith Square.
Lucia freelances with different orchestras and ensembles, including a collaboration with Aalborg Opera Festival, Denmark, for which she premiered Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour’s chamber opera The Red Room (2023). Lucia has attended masterclasses with world-famous harpists such as Elizabeth FontanBinoche, Judith Liber, Isabelle Perrin, Fabrice Pierre, Luisa Prandina, Park Stickney and Gwyneth Wentink.
