Join free, drop-in workshops every month, themed around our collections, mental wellbeing, careers and creativity, for young people aged 13-25.

You’re invited to come try something new and connect with our Museum, without having to commit to a longer-term project if you don’t want to. It’s a low-effort way to be creative, build professional or social connections, stay in touch with us, or just hang out!

We aim to programme workshops that reflect a wide range of interests, experiences and ways of learning. On this page you can find out what is coming up and sign up.

If you have any questions about access or taking part comfortably and safely, please contact Amy at youngpeople@rmg.co.uk. You’re also welcome to get in touch to discuss any access requirements or adjustments.

About the Youth Collective: Peer Research Project

This project has come from from research co-produced in autumn 2024 with 6 young Peer Researchers, arts education consultant Rachel Moss, and our Youth Programme Producer.

Our paid Peer Researchers — Amelia, Fadumo, Lara, and Stephanie — worked with us to deliver workshops and surveys across Greenwich, gathering feedback from 200 young people aged 13–25 about what they want from our museums.

Key findings showed that the young people we spoke to wanted:

  • Relaxed, safe spaces to connect socially
  • More opportunities to build professional networks
  • Museum stories that reflect diverse local and global experiences.
