Bax, Robert Nesham, Admiral, 1875-1969.
The papers consist of a rough notebook kept in the training ship Cruiser and an annotated notebook of examination questions of the Training Squadron, 1894.

Bax was the son of Bonham Ward Bax (q.v.). He joined the Britannia in 1889, rose to captain in 1913 and saw active service in World War I. He was promoted to admiral on the retired list in 1932.
