Celestial pocket globe
Celestial pocket globe gores within the case. The celestial projection is geocentric but the constellations are seen from the back. The stars are represented by different symbols but there is no magnitude table. The Milky Way is labelled. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and four of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. Four of the southern constellations are drawn and those of Plancius are indicated as well as those of Hevelius. A manuscript globe which was copied from Cushee's terrestrial globe is described under Anonymous GLB0115. The celestial gores of Cushee's pocket globes were used for the 70 mm (2.75 in) pocket globe of Lane GLB0028.
