Scale 1:96. Plan shows the sections design drawing for the Town class (also known as the Southampton sub-class) light cruisers. The drawing shows the sections at frames 139, 165, 211, 225, 243 and the aft post looking aft. The drawing also shows the sections at frames 13, 28, 49, 77, 96 and 115 looking forward. A Scotts Shipbuilding stamp, with the director's signature, dated 3 January 1935 is present on the drawing. A Vickers-Armstrong Shipbuilders stamp with the director's signature, dated 30 January 1935 is also printed on the plan. This plan relates to the ships Glasgow (1936), Newcastle (1936) and Sheffield (1936). The plan bears the signature of Sir Arthur W. Johns [Director of Naval Construction [Director of Naval Construction 1930-1936].
