Centaur (1947)

Scale 1:144 for the longitudinal measurements and 1:192 for the vertical measurements. This mix of scales result in a distorted diagrammatical view of the decks. Plan shows No. 6 [lower], No. 7 [platform] and No. 8 [hold] decks and double bottoms for the Centaur class light fleet aircraft carrier Centaur (1947). This is a modernisation drawing showing the incident board for H. Q. 1 and H. Q. 2 [Damage Control Headquarters] on the vessel. The board would be lit up on the wall with different lights indicating which areas are active and which are inactive due to damage. This plan is listed as Sheet 3 of 3. There is a Devonport Dockyard Manager of Constructive Department stamp, dated 29 September 1958 is printed on the drawing.
