Inscribed: "To the Rt Honble Lord Viscount Nelson, K.B. Duke of Bronte, & C. This Print representing the sinking of His Majesty's Sloop Arrow after a gallant resistance, and the Acheron, leading away L'Hortense in a direction from the Convoy at half past eight on the morning of the 4th Feby 1805, off Cape Palos, at which time the Merchantmen were at considerable distance effecting their escape, which was happily accomplished."
Acheron is on the extreme right in the picture, which shows the action of 4/2/1805; when, with Arrow, she defended a convoy against the French frigates L'Incorruptible and L'Hortense.
