Awarded to Captain Edmond Oswald Ormsby RCN. Obverse: Seven marching figures of service men and women. Legend: "1939 CANADA 1945" "VOLUNTARY SERVICE VOLUNTAIRE". Reverse: Canadian coat of arms. Fitted with a straight clasp and blue ribbon edged with red and green stripes with a silver bar bearing a maple leaf (for service overseas). Mounted court style with five others.
