Hat
Hat belonging to Captain F. L. McClintock (1817-1907). The outside is made of black, tarred canvas, the inside is lined with white fearnought (plain woven woollen fabric with a knap). It has a round crown sewn in four sections and a narrow brim. It is shown in the portrait of McClintock by Stephen Pearce, held in the sitter's left hand.
