Order of the Bath, 2nd class (civil)
Star of the Order of the Bath awarded to Astronomer Royal, Sir George Bidell Airy (1801-1892). He became a Knight Commander on 17th June 1872. Star: A silver cross pattee, with a central device of three crowns surrounded by the motto on a red enamel ribbon inscribed: 'TRIA . JUNCTA . IN . UNO.'.
